One-year-old Jacob Caron of Gardiner was the hole-in-one winner of the 2007 Advocates for Children Golf Ball Drop held Sept. 8 at Roy’s on Route 4, Auburn. It’s unclear which was more exciting to Jacob – the golf ball itself or the prize money. The other two winners were Dawnstar Anthony of Lewiston and Delores Blanchard of Auburn.This was the third year that the nonprofit agency held the drop as a major fundraising projects.
