FARMINGTON – The Rite Aid Pharmacy at 131 Wilton Road was robbed Friday morning, and police are searching for the thief.
After entering the store, a white male went to the pharmacy in the back where he asked for drugs and was given less than 100 various pain killers. The male implied that he had a weapon, however none was displayed, Lt. Jack Peck of the Farmington Police Department said.
Described as being in his late teens or early 20s, he wore a hooded sweatshirt and a blue bandanna over his face and sunglasses, Peck said.
He fled on foot and was last seen running toward Bridge Street in West Farmington.
There are no other people or vehicle involved.
A tracking dog was used by Cpl. Nathan Bean of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department without success.
Farmington Police Department was assisted by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department, Maine State Police, Jay police, Wilton police and the University of Maine at Farmington police.
