LEWISTON – The South Lewiston Baptist Church will host its 46th annual missionary conference on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 12 to 14.
A conference kick-off, “Connecting Cultures for Christ,” a mission-oriented international evening, will be held at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, at the Multi-Purpose Center.
An introduction of missionary guests is planned as well as featuring food of an international flavor. Also highlighted will be national and international children sharing in music
As part of the conference, guests from a variety of cultures will share their experiences and vision for missions from their part of the world. The conference will continue at the church through Sunday evening.
Speakers will include Rockeybell Adatua, evangelist in Ghana; George Renner of Nairobi, Kenya; and Pastor Nathan Cherelus, ministering to the people of Haiti.
Jeff and Susan Becker of Jeremiah 29:11 Ministries will lead a children’s conference throughout the weekend.
A men’s breakfast and fellowship is planned for 7:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at the Ramada Inn. The women will meet at 10:15a.m. for a brunch and devotional at the Ramada Inn.
A potluck supper is planned for 5 p.m. Saturday at the church followed by workshops where each missionary will present highlights of his mission field.
The guests will speak at morning and evening services on Sunday, Oct. 14. The morning service will begin at 10:30 a.m. and the evening service at 6 p.m.
A question-and-answer time with refreshments will follow.
