AUBURN – Music by Magic, a popular vocal and instrumental group specializing in easy-listening standards from the 1930s through the ’70s, will perform at the Androscoggin Habitat for Humanity art auction gala Thursday, Oct. 11.

The fundraiser will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn Auburn Riverwatch.

Members of the group have a long history of musical performance in Lewiston-Auburn and central Maine. The quartet will play during the art preview starting at 6:30 p.m. during which a cash bar and refreshments will be available.

Tara Allain, Miss Maine 2007, will open the auction at 7:30 p.m. She has an avid interest in the work being done by Habitat for Humanity.

The art auction will feature a large selection of works by national and international artists, including Adams, Borelli, Boulanger, Chagall, Dali, Emanuel, Kinkade, Moses, Neiman, Picasso, Polak, Rembrandt, Renoir, Rockwell, Tarkay, Toulouse-Lautrec, Warhol, Wooster-Scott and Wyeth. All of the art is custom-framed. Sports and music memorabilia will also be featured.

Local artists will also be represented. They include Mary Godin, Gloria Limoges, Marge Direnzo, Joyce Coyne, Dot Violette, Samantha Green, Judy Schaub, Paul Belisle, David Footer, Stan Young, Judy Giffin, Michael Boisvert, David Mireault and Suzanne Biddle.

Proceeds will benefit the Habitat for Humanity organization, which is currently building its 14th house on Golder Road in Lewiston.
