The Maine Veterans’ Home in Paris, in conjunction with Western Maine Veterans Advisory Committee, held a POW-MIA program on Sept. 9. Boy Scout Troop 196 raised the colors and Garrett Hasslett gave a rendition of the national anthem. A band performed patriotic musical selections. The committee donated a special POW-MIA memorial stone, which was dedicated during the program. The stone has a special place between the flags at the front of the home. Ron Sailor, American Legion department adjutant, was speaker.
