• The people of Danville Junction and others interested in the decision of the county commissioners in regard to the discontinuance of the railroad crossing are getting anxious and are wondering what can be causing the delay.
• The Lake Auburn Fish Association will probably take 100,000 small fry from the fish hatchery and place them in Lake Auburn Sunday. It is quite an undertaking and an interesting sight to watch.
• Lovers of wild animals will have a treat in the program presented for their entertainment at The Nickel Friday and Saturday. One of the pictures is a series of views of the great wild animal park of Hagenbeck at Hamburg, undoubtedly the greatest collection of wild animals in captivity to be found in the world.

WASHINGTON – The United States today abolished, with some few exceptions, its controversial requirement that all visitors from abroad be subjected to fingerprinting.
The State Department in announcing the end of the requirement today said it would act “on a basis of reciprocity.” Visitors from Liberia, Peru and Ecuador will continue to be fingerprinted, officials said, until these countries abandon their fingerprinting practice.
Fingerprints also may be required, it said, of visitors who arrive without visas of any kind such as foreign seamen who want shore leave and seasonal workers from Mexico.

WILTON – Persons who saw a beautifully restored 1939 Model A Ford passing through town recently were viewing two people who are embarking on the last stage of an interesting odyssey. Charlie and Phyllis Plimpton left Key West, Fla., Feb. 28 on a trip to visit all 50 states in their Model A. Only 12 remain to be visited.
