FARMINGTON – On Sunday, Oct. 14, morning worship at Henderson Memorial Baptist Church will focus on the importance of being thankful when people need God’s healing power. Pastor Susan Crane’s message will be “Thank You, Lord” at 10:30 a.m.
After the sermon, all worshipers will be invited to go forward for healing prayers. Those who have a loved one who cannot attend may bring a picture to place on the Lord’s Table as the congregation prays. All are welcome.
Sunday school for all ages will be at 9 a.m. and a fellowship time will be held at 11:30 a.m.
Society speaker
JAY – The Jay Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, at the Jay Community Building. Timothy J. Gould, licensed Maine auctioneer of Gould Auction Co., Smithfield, will be the guest speaker. The public is welcome.
Beedy reunion
KINGFIELD – The 60th reunion of the descendants of Aaron and Violette Durham Beedy will be held on Sunday, Oct. 21, at Webster Hall in Kingfield. STRONG – The Student of the Month Assembly was held Oct. 10 at the Strong School gym. The September Students of the Month are:
Grade one, Lilly Kenney; grade two, Caleb Gilmore; grade three, Cameron Eustis. Also, Grade four M, Makayla Martin; grade four S, Sonny Burnham; grade five, Reilly Romanoski.

Holiday bazaar
INDUSTRY – The United in Christ Presbyterian Church (Starks and West Mills) will hold its fifth annual Christmas Bazaar from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at the Industry Town Hall.
There will be crafts, baked goods, a cookie walk, lunch and a raffle for gingerbread houses and other items. All are welcome.
