On Oct. 4, I read the fantastic story about photographer Russ Dillingham and the heroic and brave action he took apprehending a fugitive.

My first thoughts were “What a photo and story.” This country needs more people like him, who dare to become involved for the betterment and safety of the public, even though the actions taken are at great risk to themselves.

Congratulations to Dillingham for daring to step up to the plate. It is wonderful that he grew up in a time when getting a story was not the only part of his duties.
