MERRIMACK, N.H. (AP) – A New Hampshire paper company faces thousands of dollars in fines over a federal environmental violation.
Nashua Corp., which produces labels, thermal and specialty papers, this week agreed to pay nearly $19,000 in fines to the Environmental Protection Agency.
Environmental regulators cited the company over its failure to submit a risk management plan, which includes a response plan in case of a chemical accident. The EPA says Nashua Corporation is now in compliance after submitting a risk management plan two years and five months late.
