LEWISTON – Adelia “Delia” M. Curato, 81, a resident of Smith Crossing in Rumford, died Saturday, Oct. 13, at Central Maine Medical Center.

She was born in East Andover, on June 1, 1926, a daughter of Laurie and Mary (Morse) Meisner and graduated from Stephens High School, Class of 1944.

Delia was a communicant of St. Athanasius-St. John Church, member of Lodge Gorizia 467, Sons of Italy, member of St. Timothy Circle 504, Daughters of Isabella, member of University of Maine Extension Service Homemakers and member of Andover Alumni Association.

She was an avid and well known artist in the area and member Smith Crossing Mothers Club. She was married in Rumford on Dec. 26, 1947, to Lawrence “Larry” J. Curato, who died in Rumford on Dec. 27, 2003.

Survivors include sons, Michael Dane Curato and wife, Marie, of Rumford, Bruce Curato of Bradford, Mass., and Randy Curato and wife, Mary Pat, of Wheaton, Ill.; daughters, Andrea Goff and husband, Del, of New Castle, Del., and Carla Beaudoin and husband, Marc, of Casco; grandchildren, Tracy Prather and husband, Scott, Lani Bisson and husband, Jeff, Anna and Julia Curato, Bailey Kung, Maria and Cory Beaudoin and Matt Goff; a great- grandson, Jackson Bisson; and a brother, Warren Meisner, of East Hartford, Conn.
