LEWISTON – The city of Lewiston is seeking a tree for Courthouse Plaza, where individuals will gather for the kickoff of a Lewiston-Auburn “Parade of Lights” on Nov. 26.

City arborist Steve Murch is seeking a spruce located in Lewiston that is 35 to 45 feet tall with a good shape and a single stem. The tree should be easily accessible.

Anyone who wishes to donate such a tree can contact Murch at 513-3003, extension 3443. He will inspect the site and notify the owner of his decision. As a service to the homeowner who donates the tree, the city will grind the stump and loam and seed the area in the spring.
