Criminal Mischief

A vehicle parked at Lewiston High School had two tires slashed overnight Oct. 13-14.

The Southern Gateway Parking Garage was tagged with graffiti sometime over the weekend Oct. 12-15.

The CMP substation on Challenger Drive had the fence cut open sometime over the weekend Oct. 12-15.

Thefts

Several vehicles parked at Lawn Guard at 185 River Road were burglarized over the weekend Oct. 12-15.

Three vehicles parked at the Elks Club at 1675 Lisbon St. were burglarized overnight Oct. 11-12.

Three juveniles attempted to steal a mountain bike from a garage at 43 Homefield St. on Oct. 13 at 4 p.m. The homeowner was able to prevent the theft from occurring and recovered his bicycle.

A vehicle parked at 90 Rideout Ave. was burglarized overnight Oct. 13-14. A Leatherman tool was taken from inside.

A blue Fuji Blaster mountain bike was stolen from 56 Campus Ave. on Oct. 13 at 11 p.m. The vehicle was left outside unlocked.

A red and silver Next Shocker mountain bike was stolen from 19 Frye St. on Oct. 13 at 8 p.m. The vehicle was left outside unlocked.

Suspicious Persons

On Oct. 14 at 7:05 p.m. a female reports that while was walking on Walnut Street at Bates Street she was approached by a white male in an older model gray Ford pickup truck with an amber light on the roof and “4×4” on the back tailgate. The male called her over to the truck and offered her a ride; he also grabbed her jacket and attempted to force her into the vehicle. She managed to escape and fled on foot.

On Oct. 14 at 12:09 a.m. a female reported that two black males in a dark green minivan asked her for a lighter in the parking lot of 7-11. As she approached the van, one of the males grabbed her arm and attempted to force her into the vehicle. The suspects fled after she screamed. Both males were described as being 40 years of age.

On Oct. 13 at 1:10 a.m. a juvenile male reported that while he was walking on College Street in the vicinity of Bates College he was approached by an older white male with grey hair in a white SUV with veteran plates. The subject asked the child if he wanted a ride and where he was going. He then drove away after the complainant refused to get in the car.

Operating After Suspension Arrest

James Warren, 22, was charged with operating after suspension and violating conditions of release on Oct. 14 at 2:58 a.m. at 25 Main St. following a routine traffic stop.

Operating Under the Influence Arrests

Brian Dubois, 21, was charged with operating under the influence on Oct. 14 at 1:25 a.m. at the Lewiston Mall following a routine traffic stop.

Michael Reid, 27, was charged with operating under the influence on Oct. 14 at 1:56 a.m. at College and Russell streets following a routine traffic stop.

Bridget Moffett, 27, was charged with operating under the influence and operating without a license on Oct. 15 at 12:44 a.m. at Lisbon and Pleasant streets following a routine traffic stop.
