AUBURN – The parking garage on Mechanics Row behind Auburn Hall will be closed from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20, and Sunday, Oct. 21, for cleaning. Parking will be available in the Main Street lot.

Cleaning will consist of high-pressure equipment. To avoid damage, vehicles should be removed from the garage. The city will not be responsible for damages to vehicles not removed.

Fire Department slates open house

AUBURN – The Auburn Fire Department will host an open house from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, at Central Fire Station on Minot Avenue.

Visitors can chat with on-duty firefighters, pick up an array of fire prevention and safety tips, have their blood pressure taken and enjoy refreshments and other activities.

There will be demonstrations of firefighting equipment and apparatus, a smoke-filled trailer to crawl through and a Sparky Moon Walk for children.
