AUBURN – The East Wind Gospel Trio will hold its 15th annual Gospel Music Celebration at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, at the East Auburn Baptist Church, corner of Turner Street and Center Street.

This year marks the 21st year that the East Wind has been traveling and performing at churches, nursing homes, homes for the elderly, jails and doing other fundraisers through New England and Canada.

The East Wind has won several awards over the years for its ministry in gospel music. They have won several Downeast Country Music Association awards in Maine and from the North American Country Music Association’s international competition, which was held in Pigeon Forge, Tenn. The East Wind has produced 10 recordings and one CD won as recording of the year.

Special guests will be the Pat Denny family of Poland. The Dennys are a family of a young and talented musicians. The LaClaire family will be with East Wind Trio for the 14th year. The LaClaires are known for their blue grass/country gospel music.

There is no admission, but a love offering will be taken for the support of the groups. For more information, call 225-2475.
