Children from classroom 4 at the Chisholm Head Start Site of Rumford have been learning about apples. The children had activities involving the use of apples, such as apple prints, a science experiment and taste testing different kinds. Due to parent support, the class was able to end the apple theme with a field trip to Gibson’s Apple Orchard in Bethel. The children were able to see where apples are grown and to pick apples from the tree.
