Society breakfast
WEST PARIS – The West Paris Historical Society will hold its annual hunters and family breakfast from 5 to 8 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, with the usual bacon and eggs, omelets, pancakes, juices and coffee. Service change
WATERFORD – Beginning on Sunday, Nov. 4, worship at Waterford Congregational Church in Waterford Village will be at 10 a.m. instead of 9:30 a.m. until the spring return to Daylight Savings Time. This allows a little extra time for driveways and roads to get clear, and also makes getting to church easier for families with young children.

Seniors lunch
BRIDGTON – The Bridgton Community Center staff and volunteers are serving the senior lunch program at the newly renovated kitchen and dining space of the First Congregational Church of Bridgton.
On Wednesday, Oct. 24, volunteers will again serve the lunch at the First Congregational Church. If the weather holds and construction of the parking lot stays on track, on Oct. 31 the program will be back at the Bridgton Community Center.
Supper, raffle
BUCKFIELD – Five Point Star Club will hold a Gift-A-Rama Saturday, Oct. 27, at the Buckfield Masonic Hall. Supper will be served at 6 p.m. The menu will include smothered beef, potato, carrots, peas, salads, rolls, pie, coffee and punch.

Party with twist
OTISFIELD – The Otisfield Recreation Department has announced the annual Halloween party with a twist. The name has been changed to include a broader audience regardless of beliefs.
This year’s event will consist of a costume-contest judging in categories such as silliest, scariest, prettiest, biggest, as well as a pumpkin-carving competition.
Goodie bags, entertainment, games, prizes and snacks will be offered. The event is free to all.
The fall celebration will be held at the Otisfield Community Hall, Route 121, from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27. For more information, contact the recreation director at 743-2539 or 461-3372.
Basket bingo
NORWAY – A Longaberger basket bingo will be held Sunday, Oct. 28, at the Norway Legion Hall on Main Street. Doors will open at 11 a.m. and bingo will start at 12:30 p.m. Cost is $10 and there will also be special games, raffle baskets, door prizes and refreshments.

Blood drive
HEBRON – An American Red Cross blood drive will be held from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29, at Hebron Academy.
