LEWISTON – The Lisbon Street Getty Mart Redskins and the Steelers will be playing for the Senior Division championship Saturday in the Lewiston Area Youth Football League (FLY)

The Gilbert Electric Redskins and Grimmel’s Gas-Up Giants will clash for the Junior crown.

The Senior Redskins advanced to the finals Sunday with a 19-0 victory over E.S. Boulos Lions. Darrick Peters hit the end zone twice behind the offensive line led by John Goulet and Nelson Goyette. Casey Thurlow added the final TD from 20-yards out. Letavian Sands plowed in for the extra point. Pacing the defense were Kevin St. Pierre (quaterback sack and fumble recovery), Ryan Jones, Thurlow, Lily Fundis and Brendan Duguay. Brent Freve, Jason Goulet and Sands recovered fumbles. Stephen Hinkley and Jeff Clark had fine games on both sides of the ball. Devin Bilodeau, Dolor Smith III and Dylan Tardif played tough for the Lions.

The Steelers edged the Twin’s Variety Senior Giants 6-0.

In the Junior Division, the Redskins beat Don Morin’s Photo Lions 20-0. Sabin Lavorgna, Dante Brooks and William Adams shined offensively behind a solid line. Defensive standouts included Chad Dumais, Colby Desjardins and Zach Gosselin. Julian Raines, Michaela Saucier and Noah Smith led the Lions.

The Giants edged the Steelers 7-0 to also advance to the finals.

Saturday’s schedule at LAP: 9:30, Junior consolation, Steelers vs Lions; 11:00, Senior consolation, Senior Giants vs Lions.

Saturday’s slate at Lewiston High School: 5:30, Junior Championship, Giants vs Redskins; 7:00, Senior Championship, Redskins vs Steelers.
