AUBURN – Jon A. Thornton, died peacefully on Oct. 17, at his residence at 66 Alderwood Road, Auburn.

He was born on May 24, 1937, in Enfield, the son of Clarice Thornton and Leo Thornton.

Survivors include his sister and her husband, Marjorie and Edward Hansen of Auburn; his nephews, Mark and wife, Nancy Hansen of Auburn, Alan and his wife, Tracey Hansen of Oxford and Ted Hansen of Otisfield; his great-nieces, Courtney Hansen and Morgan Hansen; great-nephew, Jacob Noyes; and many cousins, friends and special neighbors.
