MEXICO – The Mexico Public Library will hold a pumpkin coloring contest during October. Children ages 2 to 12 are eligible to participate.
Any child wishing to enter the contest should stop by the library any time during October and pick up a coloring contest sheet. Upon completion of the contest sheet, children should return them to the library, where they will be displayed on the kid’s bulletin board downstairs.
The completed sheets may be turned in to the library any time during open hours. The deadline for the contest will be 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29. Each child who enters the contest will receive a small gift when their pumpkin sheet is turned in.
After Oct. 29, the pumpkins will be judged. There will be three categories, ages 2 to 5, ages 6 to 9 and ages 10 to 12. Fun prizes will be awarded to the “top” pumpkins on Wednesday, Oct. 31. For more information, contact the library at 364-3281.
