The driver of this tractor-trailer escaped with minor injuries after losing control of it on Route 4 in Livermore on Thursday afternoon. Police said Christopher Lane, 34, of Farmingdale was rounding a curve when the trailer, filled with wood chips, began to tip and pulled the rest of the truck with it. The truck rolled onto its side near the tree line, causing an estimated $120,000 in damage. Lane was driving for Schoppee’s Dairy, a company in Holden. He was treated for bumps and bruises at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.

State police and Livermore fire officials remained at the scene into Thursday night as cleanup began. Workers from Greeley’s Garage in Auburn had to bring out three wreckers before they could haul the twisted rig back to the road. While that was under way, a long section of Route 4 was limited to one lane. State Police Trooper Ricci Cote was heading the investigation and said it appeared that speed may have been a contributing factor.
