ORONO – Laura Marter socred her team-leading fifth goal of the season, but New Hanpshire pulled out a 2-1 women’s soccer vicvtory over Maine on Thursday.
Maine (4-6-3) led on Martel’s tally at the 73:03 mark, but the Wildcats answered 20 seconds later before scoring the game-winner with less than three minutes remaining.
Bowdoin 8, Brandeis 1
BRUNSWICK – The Bowdoin College women’s soccer team exploded for seven goals in the second half to run away with an 8-1 victory over Brandeis.
Brandeis actually scored the game’s first goal 55 seconds into the game before Bowdoin (8-3) erupted for eight unanswered goals.
Rebecca Silva drilled a shot to the lower left corner to deadlock the contest at 12:52. Ann Zeigler and Claire Cutting scored two goals apiece.
