LEWISTON – Robert M. Grant, 72, of 120 Spring St., passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 17, at Montello Manor.

He was born in Marion, March 25, 1935, the son of Myles and Bernice Burnham Grant. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force and was previously employed as a truck driver for Vincent Fruit Co.

He was a member of the American Legion Post 135 of Sabattus, Monmouth Fire Department and the Auburn Police Reserves. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, camping and repairing television sets with his friend, Hollis Bates.

He is survived by four children all of Monmouth, Dawnna Pease and husband, Rick, Dianna Boisvert, Richard Grant and wife, Lia, and Ronald Grant and wife, Linda; seven grandchildren, Sierra Behles and husband, Evan, Ryan Boisvert and wife, Tabitha, Kayla Pease, Chelsea Grant, Joshua Boisvert, Lynisa Aubin and Duncan Grant; a great-grandson, Trevor Robert David Boisvert; and the family cat, “Spazie.”

He was predeceased by his parents; a sister, Blanche Grant; two brothers, Myles “Jim” Grant Jr. and Richard Grant; his only nephew, Peter Grant; and his life partner, Betty Short.
