AUBURN – Mr. and Mrs. Thomas T. Brown Jr. of Auburn are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Valerie Brown of Auburn, to Tracey Ackley of Buckfield, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Ackley of Sumner.
Miss Brown is a 1992 graduate of Edward Little High School and a 1996 graduate of Assumption College in Worcester, Mass. She is department chair of mathematics at Edward Little High School in Auburn and is also the varsity girls soccer coach.
Mr. Ackley is a 1994 graduate of Buckfield Junior-Senior High School in Buckfield and is a supervisor at the Wal-Mart Distribution Center in Lewiston.
The wedding will be held at noon Dec. 22 at the Auburn United Methodist Church, with a reception to follow at Martindale Country Club in Auburn.
