LEWISTON – Irene T. Cloutier, 82, formerly of Patten Road, Greene, died Friday afternoon, Oct. 19, 2007, at Montello Manor.
Born in Claremont, N.H., she was a daughter of Wilfred and Angelina Lebel Beaucage. Irene was educated in Lewiston schools and later worked for Bates Mill.
She married Marcel R. Cloutier, a decorated World War II veteran, on Aug. 5, 1946, in Lewiston.
It gave Irene great pleasure to help and take care of people she knew. She enjoyed involvement at her church at St. Francis in Greene, also teaching CCD. She loved her family, grandchildren and her animals.
Irene leaves three daughters, Marie-Therese Willard and her husband, James, of Florida, Lucille Sansoucie of New Hampshire, and Marcelle and Bruce Arruda of Maryland; two sons, Charles Cloutier and his wife, Kathleen, and Joe Cloutier and his wife, Jacqueline, all of Greene; three grandchildren, Dave Arruda, Scott Sansoucie and Linda Jean Ott-Cloutier, as well as several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband on Aug. 31, 2003; a sister, Muriel Farrell; and brothers, Donald, Bertrand, Joseph-Gabriel and Roger Beaucage.
