This letter is in regard to the Portland School Committee’s vote to allow King Middle School students access to a full range of contraception (Sun Journal, Oct. 18).

May I remind everyone it is illegal to have sex with a minor?

And whether it’s going to send out the wrong impression to the kids, wouldn’t it also be a great way to cover up and give permission for incest, child pornography and the almighty predator, you know – those friends-of-the-family type? What was the school committee thinking? What Pandora’s box have they opened?

I pray that God watches over our children. Someone has to.
