NEW GLOUCESTER – Award-winning PBS filmmaker Ginger Kathrens, creator of “Cloud, Wild Stallion of the Rockies” will be at the Pineland Farms Equestrian Center Sunday, Oct. 28, on behalf of the Maine State Society for the Protection of Animals.

Kathrens is executive director of the Cloud Foundation, dedicated to the preservation of wild horses on public lands. She is also an Emmy Award-winning producer/cinematographer. Her documentary filmmaking trips have taken her to Africa, Asia, Europe, Central America, South America and all over the United States.

The Maine State Society for the Protection of Animals provides around-the-clock on-site staffing. Animals that have been placed by court order with the society, are kept for the entirety of their lives or placed in forever homes, provided they aren’t suffering.
