RUMFORD – A Mass of Christian Burial for Lewis D. Barnett was celebrated Saturday at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church. The Rev. Angelo LeVasseur was the celebrant. George Gionet was the altar server, Wayne Petrie was the organist, Cindy Brown sang “Ave Maria” and “Sleep Soldier Boy Sleep.” Guitarist Ted DeRoche sang “I Saw the Masters Face in the Morning.” Readings were done by granddaughter, Nicole Barnett and niece, Toni Richardson. The eulogy was given by his granddaughter, Nicole Barnett. Pallbearers were Mike, Tim and Peter Rosenberg, Mike Madore, Maynard Murphy and Greg Viger. Military honors were rendered at the church after the Mass. A reception followed in the parish hall. Interment was at Demeritt Cemetery. Arrangements were by S.G. Thibault Funeral Home.
