FARMINGTON – Franklin Community Health Network is launching an electronic newsletter to keep residents better informed of local happenings.

Each month the network will send an e-mail of all the latest developments in it and its affiliates, including new doctor announcements, new services, upcoming events, special promotions and monthly health tips to those who register for the service.

“The newsletter looks very similar to a Web site, complete with links,” said Leah Binder, network vice president. “We think people will find it helpful in hearing about local news and resources, and learning about health tips.”

A registration form is located on the network home page on the Internet at www.fchn.org. The only information required at the time of registration is first and last name and e-mail address. Those who register also select the type of correspondence they would like to receive such as general interest, upcoming events and special promotions.

Binder said FCHN will use the e-mail addresses with discretion for correspondence generated in the health network only.

“We are really excited about starting e-mail marketing as an affordable way to stretch our marketing budget,” said Jill Gray, who is editor of the newsletter.
