LIVERMORE FALLS – No candidates returned nomination papers to serve as selectman until June, Chairwoman Jackie Knight said Tuesday.

The seat was vacated by Julie Deschesne in September.

Someone did take out papers for the term but failed to return them by Monday’s deadline.

Knight said selectmen will discuss the lack of candidate at their 6:30 p.m., Monday, Nov. 5, meeting at the town office.

They may consider exiting from the election rather than having a blank on the Nov. 6 ballot, she said.

There were five applications received for the public works foreman position, Knight said, to replace Denis Castonguay of Wilton, who has taken a supervisory job at the Farmington Public Works Department.
