LEWISTON – Roger V. Sturtevant, 71, of South Paris died Monday, Oct. 22, at Central Maine Medical Center.

He was born in Lewiston on March 30, 1936, the son of Arthur A. and Rachel E. Emery Sturtevant. He attended Paris schools and had been employed at Paris Manufacturing, SAD 17, and Oxford Homes.

He was a member of the National Guard, serving at the Armory in Norway. He was a leader for Boy Scout Troop 190 and a member of the Paris Grange.

He is survived by a nephew, Bruce Sturtevant and his wife, Cathy, of Paris; a niece, Jeanette Newton of Tennessee; a grandniece, Kelly Newton of Tennessee; and two grandnephews, Joseph Newton of Mechanic Falls and Kevin Sturtevant and his companion, Misty, of South Paris.

He was predeceased by three brothers, Richard, Lawrence and Joseph.
