An exhibit of paintings by local artist Pat Chandler is on view at Norway Memorial Library. Works include oil on linen, canvas, and panel and mixed media and acrylic. Chandler earned a bachelor’s degree in fine arts from the Rhode Island School of Design and a master’s degree in printmaking and painting at the Rochester Institute of Technology in 1993. She lives and paints in her studio/home at Sand Pond. She teaches private classes at the Blake House in Norway; drawing and painting through the University of Maine at Augusta; and a course titled “Thinking About the Arts, Thinking Through the Arts” at Lewiston/Auburn College. She also exhibiting at Caterpillar Hill Gallery in Sedgwick, and her abstract work will be featured at the Pennacook Gallery in Rumford in November. The library will host a First Friday Reception with the artist from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2. Chandler’s artwork will remain on display through November. For more information, call 743-5309.
