LIVERMORE FALLS – Funeral services for Dorothy Merrill Souther were held on Saturday from the Eaton Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ami R. Sawtelle and the Rev. John Hall co-officiating. Scripture readings were: Old Testament: Proverbs 31:10-31: responsive act of praise: Psalm 23; and gospel reading: John 14:1-4, 18-19 and 25-27. Maggie Houlihan was organist,; solist Diane HIrsh sang “For the Beauty of the Earth” and “The Lord’s Prayer.” Congregational hymns included “How Great Thou Art” and “Shall We Gather At The River.” Remembrances were shared by friends Nancy Vondy and Pam Newton. Pallbearers were Robbie Storer, Butch Bryant, Jason Bryant, Travis Mills, Josh Mills and Jack Mills. Burial was at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery, East Livermore. After services, a family reception was held in the church undercroft, hosted by the UMW. Arrangements were in the care of the Wiles Remembrance Center.
