RUMFORD – Edward J. Arsenault, 77, of Roxbury Road, Mexico, died Thursday, Oct. 18, at Rumford Hospital.

He was born in Mexico, on Dec. 14, 1929, a son of Benjamin C. and Angeline (Arsenault) Arsenault. He attended Mexico schools and served with the Maine National Guard as a private first class with Company K 103rd Infantry from October 1951 to October 1954.

He worked in maintenance in the wood room at Boise Cascade Paper Co. in Rumford and retired after more than 40 years in May 1990.

He was a member of Rumford Falls Aerie 1248, F,O.E. and was a communicant of St. Theresa Church in Mexico. He was a member of the Webb River Sportsmen’s Club and loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and time at camp.

He is survived by many nieces and nephews; and many friends.
