The Rumford United Methodist Church, Linnell Street, will hold a chicken pie supper on Saturday, Oct. 27. Chairwoman Dot Wing promises “pies as good as your mother used to make.” The recipe will be the one used for the past 52 years. There will also be a fall pumpkin cake. There will be two settings, 5 and 5:45 p.m. There will be a hymn sing upstairs, led by Jean Hersey, while the diners are eating at the first setting. The cost is $7; $3 for young children. From left are Dee Holman and Wing.
