AUGUSTA (AP) – The next seven days represents the last hurrah for leaf peepers in Maine.

In its final foliage report of the season, the Department of Conservation says color is approaching its peak along the coast from Kittery to Camden. Towns reporting vibrant colors include North Berwick, York, Buxton and Brunswick.

Rangers also report peak color along the Eastern Maine coast and in areas of Central Maine, including Auburn, Augusta, Bangor and Skowhegan.

Elsewhere in Maine, foliage has passed peak color and more than 70 percent of the leaves have dropped from the trees.
