The service began with a “giving thanks” message for all that God does for us. Robert’s twin brother Richard Hart then shared words of remembrance and then read the poem “Remember Joy.” Missionary, Carrie Howe Chandler of Christ Temple Church also extended greetings to the Hart family then shared a poem written by 10-year-old Mataya a daughter to friends of Connie and Bob’s. The U.S. Navy Honor Detail then played taps and presented our country’s flag to Bob’s wife, Connie, in recognition of his service to his country during the Vietnam Conflict. Burial will be held privately at the Maine Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Augusta. At the conclusion of services all were invited to a reception of fellowship at Governor’s Restaurant in Lewiston.
