PORTLAND (AP) – A 15-year-old Wells High School student has been charged with terrorizing after a threatening statement directed toward the school was found on the student’s MySpace Web page.

The threat was not directed at any individual or group, and authorities said they don’t believe anyone at the school was ever in danger. But Wells police said that in the post-Columbine environment, such threats must be taken seriously.

Principal Jim Daly said additional security was put in effect at the school and letters were sent home with students to alert parents about what had happened.
