PARIS – The Norway/Paris Lions Club will hold a Chinese auction on Saturday, Nov. 3, at the American Legion Hall, Church Street, South Paris. The doors will open at 1 p.m. for viewing and the auction will begin at 3 p.m.

The proceeds will be used toward services for the blind and visually impaired as well as helping with the global initiative to fight the major causes of preventable and reversible blindness.

It includes providing eye exams and eye glasses for those in the community who are not able to financially obtain them. Those who have eye glasses or sunglasses they no longer use can donate them.

Several items will be auctioned once the ticket auction is completed. They include the following gift certificates: 100 gallons of heating fuel, complete car or pickup detailing, a Maine amethyst stone, $100 from Paris Farmers Union and $50 from LL Bean. There will be more than 30 gift certificates donated by local businesses.

Refreshments will be available throughout the afternoon, and there will be a quilt raffle and a 50/50 raffle. For information, call Carol Williams at 743-7747.
