AUBURN – Germaine L. Bilodeau, 84, of Auburn, died peacefully at her residence on Tuesday, Oct. 30, with her family by her side.
She was born in St. Honore de Shenley, P.Q., on March 31, 1923. She immigrated to the states as an infant with her parents, Xavier and Lumina (Goulet) Roy. She was the youngest of 12 children. She attended Lewiston schools and graduated from Lewiston High School, Class of 1942.
Married in 1944, she moved to Auburn four years later and there lived the remainder of her life. She worked many years at Philips Elmet Corp. as an inspector and even after her retirement in 1986, she continued to do volunteer work in the community.
Always strong in character, incredibly resilient in her faith, her love for her family and all she loved shined in every aspect of her life. She was a magnificent role model and mentor to not only her children, but to all she cared for.
She is survived by one daughter, Sandra Hanson of Bradford, Vt.; two sons, Roger Beauregard and his wife, Janice, of Lynn, Mass., and Robert Beauregard Jr. and his companion, Pauline, and her daughter, Lisa, of Lewiston; three grandchildren, Sean and Kimberly Beauregard of Lynn, Mass., and Kelly Beauregard of Lewiston; one brother, Florian Roy of Lewiston; one sister, Lydia Beaulieu of Lewiston; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husbands, Robert Beauregard Sr., Armand St. Hilaire and Laurier Bilodeau; as well as her eldest son, Ronald Beauregard.
