FARMINGTON – Helen Edith Parker, 87, of Dryden, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 30, at Orchard Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, surrounded by her children.
She was born July 9, 1920, in Winslow, a daughter of Peter and Greta (Wood) Poulin. On Aug. 10, 1936, she married Edwin Dakin Parker. They had four children and made their home in Dryden since 1946.
She enjoyed living life to the fullest and giving herself to her friends and family. She loved to read, crochet and was an avid soap opera aficionado. She had attended local churches throughout her lifetime. She enjoyed traveling and sightseeing with her husband and keeping in touch with family members.
She is survived by her children, Deanne Williams of Farmington, Edwin Joel Parker of Industry, Michael Parker of Wilton and David Parker of Chesterville; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Connie Bedard, Launa Cook; and brother, Dwayne Poulin.
She was predeceased by her husband, Edwin in 2003; a sister, Shirley Mosher in 1998; and a grandson, Terry Williams in 1976.
Her family wishes to thank the staff of Orchard Park for their superior care during this time.
