FARMINGTON – Funeral services for Steven Lawrence Yeaton of Farmington were held Tuesday from the Henderson Memorial Baptist Church, Academy Street, Farmington, with the Rev. Alan Shumway officiating. Organist was Patricia Hayden. The Rev. Shumway sang “The Lord’s Prayer” and congregational hymns included “Morning Has Broken,” “For the Beauty of the Earth” and “I’ve Got Peace Like a River.” Scripture readings included Psalm 139:1-8 and Psalm 23 (in unison). His wife, Delana’s tribute was a recording titled “I Miss M Friend.” Other friends who offered words of tribute for Steve included his father-in-law, Ernest Lowell, uncle, Brent Smith and friends Tammy York, Kelly and Don Pillsbury and Jeff Harris. Pallbearers were Scott Yeaton, Jeff Harris, Dan Welch, Bob Cochran, Eric Johnson, Todd Oliver and Dennis Wilkes. Private family committal prayers were held at Fairview Cemetery, Farmington. After services, a family reception, hosted by the Philathea Club, was held in the church undercroft. Arrangements were in the care of the Wiles Remembrance Center.
