I have had the opportunity of knowing Katherine Harvey for the last seven years. We have worked together with our Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness (Gear Up) grant in SAD 21.

Harvey has a remarkable passion for her community. She is one of a few people with whom I am acquainted whose concern for community, county and country is truly genuine and authentic. She is willing to pull up her sleeves and work diligently at whatever task she undertakes.

I have seen her inspire many students to be their best. She guides and advises people to become involved in their community and school. I know of more than one student who has written their college essay about the influence Harvey has had on their lives.

Katherine Harvey does not judge any person or their opinions.

She would be a great asset to have in Augusta.
