LIVERMORE – A 190-foot-tall telecommunications tower is expected to be erected and operational by April, select board Administrative Assistant Kurt Schaub said Thursday.
The Planning Board approved the project’s site plan review application Tuesday after a public hearing, he said.
Global Towers plans to lease a 200-by-200-foot area on the property of Calvin and Ruth Gammon at 203 Waters Hill Road to put up the tower, which is designed to support at least six wireless service providers. Global Towers would lease the tower space to Federal Communications Commission-sanctioned wireless service providers.
Schaub said the company has a policy to offer space to emergency services for up two antennas on the tower.
