AUBURN – Joanna L. Copley-Mynahan, 52, of 52 James St., Auburn, died Wednesday, Oct. 31, at her home, after a long illness.
She was born in Vallejo, Calif., Nov. 14, 1954, the daughter of Kenneth C. Willis and Donna Lee Bullard. She moved to the local area 17 years ago and worked for several years as a paralegal, retiring due to illness eight years ago.
On June 11, 1994, she married James M. Mynahan in Auburn. A member of the 12 Hour Club, she also belonged to the Auburn Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association, and enjoyed making soaps, candles and other crafts. She loved animals, was a lifelong supporter of the ASPCA, and will be missed by her four dogs, Zeus, Jed, Wiggly and Abby.
Survivors include her husband of Auburn; four sons, William Stanton and wife, Lenore, of Portsmouth, Va., Christopher Smith and wife, Jessica, of Port Ritchey, Fla., Jessie Mynahan of Mechanic Falls and Erik Mynahan of Nashua, N.H.; a daughter, Jennifer Smith of Nashua, N.H.; a sister, Janine Brown of Seattle, Wash.; two grandchildren, Cheyenne and Cody; and another grandchild on the way.
