BOSTON (AP) – A Dorchester pizza shop owner has been critically injured after being shot in the head as he was opening his store.
Boston police say the 45-year-old victim was rushed to a Boston hospital with what are described as life-threatening injuries following the shooting at Stalex Pizza.
The man was reportedly chasing someone who had allegedly robbed his store.
Investigators say an 18-year-old suspect has been arrested in connection with the shooting at the corner of Norfolk Street and Woodrow Avenue.
Police are expected to release further details at an afternoon press conference.
