During my eight years in the Maine State Senate, I got to know a lot of legislators. Good ones and bad ones, from both sides of the political spectrum. Rarely have I known a person with as much compassion and energy for helping her fellow person as Katherine Harvey.
One only needs look to the article in the Sun Journal Oct. 26 to find out how hard she works for her school district. Through her efforts, a huge grant has been awarded and will be spent to benefit the children of the River Valley. Expanded Internet offerings, and foreign languages are but two ways the money will be used. Maybe a tour of the Smithsonian Institution, which would be a lifetime memory for the students who go.
I urge the voters of House District 93 to support and vote for Katherine Harvey of Dixfield.
