The decision by the Portland School Board to have birth control pills available at King Middle School, without parents’ consent, left me wondering what is wrong with them and what kind of message are they sending to children?

When anyone mentions morality, he or she gets labeled archaic or a prude, yet my morality doesn’t create single-parent homes, disrespect to parents and authority, and babies having babies. It does teach there are absolutes and accountability for a person’s actions.

Why subvert the parenting of the majority for the lack of it by a few?
