LEWISTON – Adrien Lajoie, 77, beloved husband of Irene (Ouellette) Lajoie, died Sunday, Nov. 4, at Montello Manor.
He was born in Lewiston Nov. 17, 1929, the son of Napoleon and Yvonne (Vachon) Lajoie. He attended local schools. He worked at Androscoggin Mill, then Blue Rock Industries in Portland, as a heavy equipment operator until his retirement.
He was a member of Prospect Hill Golf Course, the Pastime Club, and St. Mary’s Cadets. He enjoyed golf, hunting, fishing and playing cribbage.
He is survived by his wife, Irene; three children, Leonard, Denis and Bonnie; five grandchildren; and a sister, Jacqueline Lajoie.
He was predeceased by his parents; a brother, Maurice; and a sister, Doris Lavallee.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Montello Manor and the Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice.
