On Friday, October 19 Elm Street School’s first danced of the year occurred. the seventh and eighth grade dance started at 7 p.m. and ended at 10 p.m. Right before the seventh and eighth grade dance started, the fourth through sixth grade sock hop began. The sock hop started at 4 p.m. and ended at 6 p.m., that way there was an hour between each dance.

Mrs. Callahan, Mrs. Rose, Mr. Rose, Mrs. Matthew’s, Mr. Reed and Mrs. Martin were the chaperones at the middle school dance. At the dance, students from student council and the chaperones worked at the ticket booth and at the snack and drink table. Admission was $5. and snacks and drinks were 50 cents.
