BRUNSWICK – Pauline Browne Myers, 92, died Monday, Nov. 5, at her home surrounded by family.

She was born in Bethel, on July 1, 1915, together with her twin brother, Paul to Sylvanus H. and Eva Smith Browne. She attended Bethel schools and graduated from Gould Academy, Class of 1933.

On March 23, 1935, she married Wilbur R. Myers in Portsmouth, N.H. Together they were active members of the Gould Academy family and the Bethel community until his retirement from the Gould faculty in 1972. He died in 1994.

She spent most of her life in Bethel. After retirement, they lived in Holiday, Fla., and summered at their cottage in South Harpswell, until moving to Brunswick in 1988.

She was a member of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed regular bridge games and was an avid golfer, while a member of Seven Springs Country Club in Florida. She loved everything about the ocean and the coast. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by three sons, Wilbur S. Myers and his wife, Vicky, of Bryant Pond, Michael K. Myers and his wife, Diane, of Sanford and Glen L. Myers of Lisbon Falls; three daughters, Mary Anne Smith and her husband, Dr. Charles, of York Beach, Sandra Paap of Milwaukee, Wis., and Judith Carver and her husband, Harold, of Brunswick; a brother, James A. Browne and his wife, Pauline, of North Liberty, Ind.; a sister, Roberta Clark of North Liberty, Ind.; a daughter-in-law, Mary G. Myers of Gorham; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a son, David Myers; two brothers, Paul E. Browne and Robert I. Browne; two sisters, Betty Anderson and Barbara Emmons.
